Aplication

Cables of these type are applied in trunk and junction network lines for carrier fequency (120 kHz ) and PCM transmission. They are installed overhead at the existing overhead lines and can be buried underground. For fixing of cables to supports serve fixing special klamps AKL , while jointing of individual factory lengths is performed by means of jiont and terminal boxes VVD10/65 type.
Due to good polyethylene properties cables can be laid up to 25° C. Supporting steel braid at normal span witstands its own cable weight , along with additional loadings as e.g.wind, rime, snow,ice and under the most unfavourable conditions with almoust triple safety.
Permissible temperature ranges:
At laying 0 up to + 40° C
Before and laying - 30 up to + 50° C

Make-up

Copper conductor 1.2 mm diameter
Solid PE insulation min.0.8mm thickness
Four insulated conductor twisted in star quad
Cable core with 1 and 3 quads
Inner PE sheath min. 0.9 mm thickness
Supporting braid of strongly galvanizedflat steel wires.
Black outer PE sheath.Sheath is sealed to braid.

Quad coding

Individual wires of a quad are marked with insulation colour , viz :
Side circuit I a- yellow b-red
Side circuit II c- green d-blue
In construction with 3 quads , marking quad is wrapped up with red and direction quad with green plastic tape
