Joint and Termination boxes for telephone cable with air-spaced and thermoplastic insulation and with lead or aluminium sheath

Cable accessories

UNIVERSAL TERMINATION FOR TELEKOMMUNIKATION CABLES type TKZ

APPLICATION

Universal Teminations TKZ are used for distribution of all types telephone cables with air-spaced and insulation, capasity 10-30 pairs, with Cu conductors 0,4 to 0,9 mm diameter.

CONSTRUCTION

The termination TKZ consists of body and cover from aluminium alloy, with over surface thermoplastic protective layer and metal plate with entry funnels.

Heat-shrinkable tubes are used for sealing cables on the funnels.

There are two constructions:TKZ and TKZo without and with overvoltage and overload protective elements.

All other mounting material is to be ordered seperately, since their quantity dependes on cable construction and will be delivered along with Termination Boxes.

LEAD STRAIGHT JOINTING SLEEVES AND PROTECTIVE BOXES FOR TELECOMMUNICATION CABLES

APPLICATION

The lead jointing sleeves are used jointing metal sheathed telecommunication cables. For jointing of unarmoured cables lead jointig sleeves without protective boxes are used. Protective boxes are used for jointing of armoured cables and unarmoured cables,in the case of joints that have to be exceptionally well protected (if the joint of a buried cable is involved). The interestics between lead sleeve and protective cast cable joint box is filled up with cable compound.

CONSTRUCTION

The lead sleeve consists of one unit and is slit longitudinally.

The soldering areas are tinned.

The protectve box is made of gray cast iron.It consists of the upper and lower part, cover, two binding rings and galvanized screvs. All surface are protected against corrosion by bitumen process.

Construction of lead joint is in table 1,but constructions of protective joint boxes for cables with lead and aluminium sheath are in tables 2 and 3.

LEAD BRANCH JOINTING SLEEVES AND PROTECTIVE BRANCH BOXES

APPLICATION

The lead branch sleeves are used for jointing 3 or 4 metal sheathed telecomunication cables at distribution and branching-off points.

For jointing of unarmoured cables lead sleeves without protective boxes are used.

The lead sleeve consists of two parts. The soldering areas are tinned.

The protectve box is made of gray cast iron.It consists of the upper and lower part, cover, two binding rings and galvanized screws and a wooden insert (plug) on the widened part of joint box.All surface are protected against corrosion by bitumen process.

Construction of lead branch joint is in table 1,but construction of protective branch joint box for armoured cables is in table 2 .
