Round and waterproof connectors

Miniature Round Circular Connectors With Threaded Coupling
(Hermetically Sealed)

Aplication
Miniature round circular connectors with threaded coupling, hermetically sealed, series 19, intended for usage in connection of electrcal lines, in electro appliances and systems, as well as for applianes with multi-core cables and bunches of conductors.
They are intended for operation in circuits-voltages up to 56o V (i.e. up to 700 V) DC or 500 V ACRMS, frequency up to 3 MHz.
They are produced with male contacts only. They mate with unsealed miniature round circular connectors, series 17. By thir characteristics they fulfil the requirments of SNO 5182.

Shell
Connector shell is made of steel and nickel-plated.
They are manufactured with square flange for panel mounting only, in 10 sizes: 14, 18, 22, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39 and 42.
They can have the folowing styles:
A - for mounting by square flange, withour back-shell.
B - for mounting by square flange, with back-chell.

Contacts
Contacts (male only) are made of special steel and nickel-plated. They are produced in 4 sizes: 1o, 14, 16 and 20. The conductor terminations are solder pot and can be used either for normal conductor size (Form "A") or for bigger size (Form "B")

Arrangements which contain contacts with terminations form "A" i.e. form "B" are represented in the cotact arrangement list.

Connector insert
By a highly sophisticated technology, contacts are mould into glass peari and compressed into connector shell providing hermeticity in axial direction. Contact arrangement signes are not given on a glass insert. Contact arrangement marks in the list of contact arrangemments are equivalent to the Series 17 and their function is for easier connection of a conductor in the field.

Back-shell
Connector back-shell is made of aluminium alloy and anodized. it is not sealed.

Depending on it?s function, back-shell can be:

  • for unshielded cables and bundles of conduictors,
  • for shielded cables

Back-shells can have the following forms:

  • straight,
  • angled.

Back-shell for shielded cables can be potted with silicone or polysulphide two-component filling for better endurance of contact terminations to vibrations i.e. sealing.
Back-shell ferrule for termination of cable shield is not an integral part of the connector and should be ordered separately.
Back-shell for non-shielded cables is provided with a system for unloanding of contact terminations with conductor.
Possible connector shell-back-shell assemblies represent available selection of connectors and back-shells related to the connector shell size.
