Plugs
General
Plug devices acount for that specific share of wiring material that is used for the
connection of mobile and portable electric power users. Accordingly, they are used to
connect and disconnect fixed and movable lines only, without using any tools or aids.
The use of plug devices is presented diagrammaticaly in figure.
A plug and socket-outlet is a means
enabling the connection at will of the flexible cable to fixed wiring.
A cable coupler is a means enabling the connection at will of two
flexible cables and consists of two parts.
An apliance coupler is a means enabling the connection at will of a
flexible cable to the equipment. |
